Product Introduction

Polyester Short Fiber Needlepunched Nonwoven Geotextile is a permeable geosynthetic material made from Polyester Staple Fibers fibers that are needle punched. The finished product is in the form of cloth, with a general width of 4-6 meters and a length of 50-100 meters. Geotextiles are divided into woven geotextiles and non-woven geotextiles. Geotextiles have excellent filtering, isolation, reinforcement and protection effects, high tensile strength, good permeability, high temperature resistance, freezing resistance, aging resistance, and corrosion resistance.

Polyester Staple Fiber Needlepunched Nonwoven Geotextile is made of Polyester short fibers arranged into a mesh through different equipment and processes. Through processes such as needle punching, different fibers are intertwined and fixed to standardize the fabric, making it soft, plump, thick, and stiff, in order to meet the requirements of different thicknesses. Non woven geotextiles have good fabric gaps and good adhesion, Due to the softness of the fibers, which have a certain degree of tear resistance and good deformation adaptability, as well as good flat drainage ability, the surface is soft and has many gaps. The good friction coefficient can increase the adhesion ability of soil particles, prevent small particles from passing through, prevent particle loss, and eliminate excess water. The surface is soft and has good protective ability. According to the length of the silk used, it can be divided into long filament non-woven geotextiles or short filament non-woven geotextiles. They can all have good filtering, isolation, reinforcement, protection and other effects, and are a widely used geosynthetic material. The tensile strength of long fibers is higher than that of short fibers, and can be selected for use according to specific requirements.

Mainly made of high-quality polyester short fibers (fibers 4-9dtex, length 50-76mm), it can also produce needle punched non-woven geotextiles of polypropylene, nylon, vinylon or mixed fibers according to requirements. It has the functions of 1. isolation, 2. filtration, 3. drainage, 4. reinforcement, 5. protection, and 6. sealing.

Function

Geotextile has good air and water permeability to let water flow through it so as to effectively control sandrock running-down.
Geotextile has good water transmissibility, it can form drainage channels inside soil mass to drain redundant liquid and air out of the soil mass.
Geotextile helps to enhance the soil mass' tensile strength and non-deformability and structural stability so as to improve soil mass quality.
It can effectively make the concentrated stress diffuse, transfer or decompound, and prevent the soil mass against the destruction of outside force.
It can prevent the mixture of sandstone, soil mass and concrete of upper and lower layers.
Its mesh is hard to jam by virtue of the compliancy and motility of the reticulation formed by indefinite form fibrous tissue.
High water permeability-it can keep good water permeability even in the pressure of soil and water.
Corrosion resistant-it is made from polypropylene fiber or terylene or other chemical fiber, featuring resistance to acid and alkali and oxidation, non-corroding, no worm-eaten.
Easy construction-low weight, easy operation, simple construction.

What is nonwoven geotextiles?

Nonwoven geotextiles are permeable geosynthetics made of nonwoven materials used along with geotechnical material (soil, rock, etc.) on the integral part of a civil engineering projects. It's produced mechanically or chemically or by heat-bonding fibres together to form stable fibre network. Nonwoven geotextiles are frequently made polymers from synthetic material like polypropylene, polyethylene, polyamide, polyester, etc. The polypropylene fibre dominates in the geotextile application, cause of its low cost, low specific gravity and strength. But nonwoven geotextiles also made from natural fibres (jute, sisal, coir, etc).

Advantage

Geosynthetics have improved the economic and environmental performance of mining operations,so much so that the mining industry has become one of the largest users of geosynthetics.

To construct on this scale, which is often necessitated by marketplace price points and competition for investor support, requires substantial engineering to make mines economically feasible and environmentally sound.

Geosynthetic materials are one part of how mining companies achieve their goals.

Geosynthetic solutions for the mining industry are engineered for long-term performance in all environments and with the chemical compatibility necessary to meet the economic and environmental goals of today's mining operations.

Solutions include

Polyethylene (PE) geomembranes as barriers
Geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) as barriersSoil-reinforcing geogrids

Nonwoven filter and separation geotextiles
Geocomposite drainage/gas venting materials

Geotextiles, with excellent hydraulic filter properties, have sufficient permeability to allow free movement of water. This will provide long-term stability of the foundation layers and ensure an extended life of the new road. Another advantage of using geotextiles in this project is the significant reduction of fill material required during construction. By reducing the amount of engineered fill required, the installation is simplified, which leads to time and cost savings.

Geosynthetic lining solutions enable steep slope (including mountaintop) developments. Pregnant solution flows more easily from heaped ore, and valuable material is not lost in seepage into soils or local waters. Onsite water is managed more efficiently, which also improves site costs, as water and wastewater management is a major cost in mining.
